The Rockford Education Foundation provides funding opportunities to support innovative learning experiences, student engagement, and school specific initiatives across Rockford Area Schools.
We now use one application form for both Mini-Grants and Restricted Funds.
Before Applying: Which Funding Option is Right for Your Project?
Mini-Grants
Select Mini-Grants if your project is:
- Creative, innovative, or instructional
- Directly supports student learning
- Supports a classroom, grade level, or school initiaitve
- Does not fit within an existing Restricted Fund
- A new idea, pilot program, or resource request
Typical Award Amount: $100-$2,000

Restricted Fund
Select Restricted Fund if your request aligns with an existing designated fund established by donors, grants, or school initiatives.
Examples include:
- REAMS Arts Experiences
- RMS Environmental Experiences
- RMS Field Trip Fund
- RMS Classroom Seating Fund
- RHS Launch Your Future
- RHS College & Career
- Technology Fund
- STEM Fund
- Fine Arts Fund (Band)
