2025 Fund-A-Need Detailed List

For the 2025 80’s Game Show Fall Event on Saturday, November 22nd, we will be featuring one unique Fund-A-Need for each school, supporting a variety of educational experiences. Each Fund-A-Need incorporates diverse experiences and resources designed to enrich student learning.

REAMS Arts Experiences – Inspiring Creativity and Growth Through the Arts

This initiative empowers students to express themselves, perform, and be part of something meaningful. Through hands-on artistic experiences, students will foster creativity, collaboration, and personal growth with programs like:

  • Artist in Residency: offering immersive learning with professional artists.
  • Field Trips: providing exposure to cultural and artistic environments.
  • All School Song: uniting the entire school in a shared musical experience.

These opportunities help students to develop the ability to monitor and adjust their performance, building confidence and resilience. Your support will bring enriching arts experiences to every child, enabling them to explore their potential and deepen their connection with the world of art.

In addition, REAMS staff is making a larger effort to display student artwork on a continuous rotation. Students are building confidence and pride in seeing their artwork around the building.

  • Art Display Cases: these will be used in the front office to display student artwork adding to the arts atmosphere as soon as people enter the building
  • Art Display Panels: the panels will be used to display student artwork at the base of the stairways in each of the wings to promote and share the beautiful work students are creating.
RMS-CES Environmental Experiences – Cultivating Minds and Well-being Through Nature

Help us nurture a generation that learns from and connects with the world around them—both indoors and outdoors. This initiative aims to enhance environmental education by creating dynamic learning spaces. Your contributions will fund programs such as:

  • STEM IRL Speaker Series: where students will have the opportunity to elect to hear from real life speakers in STEM fields to begin to explore possible career options.
  • Staff Shirts: we want to build connectedness among students to staff and make sure students feel comfortable in all settings. We want to have shirts for events like Parent-Teacher conferences, Open House, Field Trips, and Special Events.
  • Sound Speaker in Cafeteria: We are currently seeking an opportunity to have a sound system in the cafeteria so we can use that as a multi-purpose space throughout the day. A cafeteria sound system enhances communication, build positive culture, supports smooth transitions, provides student leadership opportunities, improves event quality, and increases overall efficiency and safety.
RHS Launch Your Future – Empowering Career Exploration

Rockford High School provides students the knowledge base, the character development, and the interpersonal skills to be a highly competitive candidate for employment. Whether students are going straight to the workforce, military services, or additional post-secondary studies they are working toward something much greater–finding their way as they approach adulthood.

All students at Rockford High School have the opportunity to earn college credit or career certifications in over 6 active career pathways across six career clusters recognized by the state of Minnesota. We are developing 15 additional pathways to provide student choice and allow for a wider array of career preparation options. Your financial assistance will help ensure:

  • The most meaningful and relevant experience in Career Pathway readiness, including up-to-date equipment, technology, and tools students will encounter in their careers.
  • Additional field trips for hands-on experiences and networking opportunities.
  • Additional technology for our Innovation Lab, which allow for creative STEM and Arts connections to their passion projects through 3D printing, vinyl cutting, and other supplies.
  • Continue to support pathway costs so students have full access to courses, certifications, and college credit opportunities.
  • Slow and deliberate growth for each program, along with start-up costs and maintaining levels of cost depending upon enrollment in each given pathway each year.
  • Collaborative meeting spaces for CP meetings, capacity to hold Career Connections meetings between interested students and an expert from the field.

The Rocket Wish Service Program is a special project funded and organized by the Rockford Education Foundation. We know that for some students, the holiday season can be a difficult time — filled with stress, sadness, or uncertainty rather than celebration.

Thanks to generous community donations, Rocket Wish helps bring joy and comfort to students who might otherwise go without. Each year, this program provides holiday gifts to more than 200 students across the Rockford School District (Preschool–12th grade).

Gifts typically include snacks and treats, a wrapped toy for younger children, and a gift card for older students — small gestures that remind every student they are seen, valued, and supported by their community.

Your contribution to Rocket Wish helps make the holidays brighter for Rockford students and families in need.
