HONORING CAREERS IN EDUCATION

Learn more about Stephanie Seiler!

Career at Rockford
Currently I run the Stop and Think room at the middle school.  Prior to that it was called the Behavior Planning Room.  I have been doing this for 21 years after working in the office for 5 years.  All 26 years have been at the Middle School. Thank you Rockford Schools for giving me the opportunity to learn so much and grow with the amazing students and staff in this district.

About Stephanie’s job
Every day is different in the Stop and Think room, which is why I have so enjoyed this job.  I get to build relationships and help students in a much smaller setting than a classroom.  Whether it’s addressing a certain choice they made, giving them a space to take a break, talking through issues with peers or reading tests, getting organized and checking in with students, it has all been an honor and an extremely rewarding and fulfilling career.  I feel truly blessed when a former student reaches out to me years later to say “Thank you, I made a difference to them”.

Education
I grew up in Crystal, MN and graduated from Robbinsdale-Cooper High School in 1974.  I then went to St. Cloud State University for 2 years and received an Associate of Arts degree.

Family
I married Keith in 1978 and we built our home here in Rockford and have lived here for the past 43 years. We raised Audrey, a 2002 Rockford graduate, and Kyle, a 2005 graduate.  We have 4 grandchildren, Jaden, Reid, Peyton and Luka.

Retirement Plans
My plans in retirement will include traveling with my husband, Keith,  and spending more time with my kids, grandkids and my 88 year old Mom.
